The Kampung, Amed, Bali

Where exactly is the Kampung located?

The Kampung is owned by Beate’s close friend of 20 years and business partner Vivi and is located in East Bali in Amed directly on the beach. Amed is a sleepy fishermen village but tourists flock into the area, although it isn’t overcrowded and still kept its charm. Amed is a great place to experience Bali’s natural beauty and culture. A one and a half hour drive from the airport, the Amed area is a world away from the tourist centers of south Bali and the stresses of everyday modern life. We will be able to make gorgeous trips from here to see temples, a waterfall, the hills and the jungle.

Amed is a well know destination for some of the best snorkeling and diving on the island. You can swim and snorkel directly off the beach in front of the Kampung or take a short boat ride to other snorkeling spots! There are kayaks and bicycles freely available from the The Kampung to explore the ocean and the village. Otherwise there are a few pools spread around the property to sunbathe and swim.

Snorkelling, corals and colourful fish are right on your door step; please bring your own snorkelling gear or you may rent for Rp. 50,000 ca € 3,5 per time at the local fishing village.

What are the yoga facilities?

At the Kampung we have a yoga shala equipped with blocks, belts, bolsters & blankets overlooking the pool, garden and the ocean. The floor is terracotta so please bring thick mats or two thin mats to stack.
