Barbara Rappauer

Studied business administration, roman languages and European law and is a certified yoga teacher since 2009. Since then she also teaches yoga full-time. Her passion for movement awakened when she was 12 years old and had enough of stress-related asthma. She wanted the Easter Bunny to give her a pair of running shoes and declared war on her illness. 10 years later she finished her first marathon. From this experience she developed a special feeling for the connection between physical and mental health as well as the awareness that you don’t have to take a condition for granted. In her yoga sessions, people with chronic complaints and injuries feel in good hands with her, as well as those who feel stuck in life are facinated by her approach. She feels the need to bring vitality and joy back in her own body and into the lives of her students.  Her lessons stand for humour, naturalness and simplicity. They are intense and challenging, clearly structured and entertaining.

Relaxation through touch is the focus in Barbara’s bodywork sessions. Every body has a story. With her hands Barbara hears what the body tells and treats pain and tension with pressure and pulling techniques, craniosacral work and techniques from myofascial release. The goal is to bring relief to body and mind.

Barbara is also lead-teacher in the yoga teacher training “empower yourself” – work that fulfills her and that she carries out with great joy.
